The initial impact of this work are the childs eyes and the light painted into the face and lips,the curving shapes painted around the eyes draws the viewers attention in.The high contrasts and the play of light and shadow are incredibly good.The use of cool colours around the face has really made the face stand out,the warmer tones painted into the face pushing the face forward.The loose brush work in blue around the face give the whole artwork a dream like quality.This work really pushes the boundaries of excellence,in its composition,technique and originality.It is an honour to be able to view such work online.

Your dreams not only have color but also humanity. The face of this child is so innocent but seems to be staring at something. The bold stokes around the child's face seem the blurring or cloudiness of the dream itself. The lightness seems to lend an airy quality to the dark broad strokes. What you can see of the face seems so to be asking a question. You've had quite a dream and still get the eyes perfect. I always enjoy the way you can make a face come to life with the way you drew the lips to the shading of a perfect nose. You are so insightful even to positioning some arm for the head to rest upon. I cannot explain in the right way, the impact someone else s dream can have on another person's mind. There are many depths to this beautiful piece of art.
