How can anybody look at this fun work of art and not smile? What a great job of bringing strangers into a story by having a water fight. The look on his face is pure joy, it is like the person or persons he is having this time with could be loves of his life. There is only one reason a man will have that much fun being soaked is if he is with somebody or bodies he loves. The joy that emanates from this marvelous work of art is outstanding. The fact that the artist has chosen only colours of black, blues and greys and still have so much joy, is a testament to how well the artist understands her subjects and they totally trust this artist. Once again the artist has brought her audience into the picture and they can have as much fun looking at this work of art, and help us remember when we were having are own water fights.
I love that you chose only two colors for this picture, it really adds something to it, gives it more power or something. And the blues you chose contrast amazingly well against the darker tones.
The way you have done the water is outstanding. The splash effect was also some great work.
The subjects expression is amazing as well, it can be difficult to capture some human emotions, and his is an expression of true joy. When I look at the work I just can't help but smile with him, his glee is infectious.
I looked the piece over for something to actually critique, something to improve on, but I see nothing. There is nothing I would have changed about this painting. You have done a fantastic job here.
Great emotion and that is also your power: your artwork feels very alive! The overall style is lovely, though I find the transitions of the sitter somewhat harsh. But that is taste, cause it is in balance and matches up the rest of your work!
This piece captures one of life's underrated pleasures. Showers help me relax and reflect on my day, and I savor the feeling of cleanliness afterward. It's one of those things that almost everyone can relate to, but almost no one really thinks about.
