A critique it is Picture you've conjured appeals to it's viewer from a thumbnail already, warm coloring invites to a closer look. Next thing that catches my eye is a face profile, shape of the nose and lips, beautifully drawn (I thought it was a girl, too, so easy to judge by long eye lashes and thin neck). What speaks to me is the simplicity of the picture, it gives space to emotion.

There is one little detail I noticed that disturbs my viewing experience, and I'm not certain whether it's purposely done or an accident - position of one of the branches the seems as if it was growing from his mouth. I'd lead it a little lower, by the shoulders, to the other side of the picture, to balance the composition. This is, however, only my opinion (:
