How to suggest a Daily DeviationHello!
According to one of our polls at #Traditionalists, there are many people who don't know how to suggest a Daily Deviation - too many, really. In this article you'll learn all about suggesting DDs: it'll be focused on Traditional Art category, but the general rules are the same for all the categories on dA.
Getting started
So you've just encountered an outstanding work - or had one for ages in your favourites - and you'd like it so much to be seen by everyone on dA. Before you suggest anything, you need to check if its author had a DD within past 6 months, as one deviant can have only 1 DD per 180 days. How? Add "dds" to their profile address, so:
username.deviantart.com would turn into username.deviantart.com/dds

How to Participate
Simply post a Journal entry with three deviations that represent your week (or your week to come).
Start a new Journal entry
Using the new "Add Media" sidebar, search deviantART for three deviations that represent your week and then place them in your Journal (for example, if you went on a date this week, one of your deviations might depict two people having dinner).At the end of your Journal, add a link back to this Journal by copy and pasting the following text:
"This was MyWeekThroughArt. How was yours?"Title your Journal "MyWeekThroughArt" and submit it!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your art style.
Hey there, I am an independent self-taught painter from Slovakia. As for my art style, I do a lot of watercolour / mixed media experiments on paper, depicting people and figures, but what I do with oil and acrylic on canvas is completely different.
How did you find out about dA?

A friend invited me to join, he is a member for long years. I was skeptical at first, but today I can't imagine functioning without dA. If brings a great deal of inspiration into my everyday life.

There are no boundaries or "rules" on what a deviantID should look like. A deviantID is a visual representation of what you feel identifies you. This could be anything from a self-portrait, to a logo, or perhaps a photograph of something you like or own.
