I usually work in 5 portrait categories, I will list them below with all the additional information you want to know to decide what works the best for you. When you order a portrait, you will receive the original (see "Shipping" below) painted / drawn on an artist quality paper (I work with Arches, Fabriano, Canson and Hahnemuhle). Paints I use are Schmincke Horadam (artist quality), Ecoline, Winsor & Newton inks and Copic Multiliners. You will also receive a digital print version of your portrait in high resolution, no matter what size of the original you've ordered.

1. WATERCOLOR / MIXED MEDIA PORTRAIT

Colorful, full background portraits (shoulders and up). I like to use bold colors and mixed media textures to create semi-abstract styling.

2. WATERCOLOR / MIXED MEDIA STYLIZED PORTRAIT

Colorful, full background portraits (shoulders and up) stylized with other elements (such as birds, butterflies, flowers, whatever you want!)

3. CHARCOAL / SEPIA / GRAPHITE / PENCIL PORTRAIT

Monochromatic portraits drawn either with charcoal, sepia, graphite or pencil - not necessarily B&W, you can pick a color you want your portrait to be drawn in. Drawing takes more time than watercoloring, however the risk of messing up the painting and having to start over is very low compare to my first and second category.

Yes, eye study.  I've had these requests before, quite a few. The point is to paint your own eyes (referenced) my way - you choose coloring if you wish.

PAYMENT

I only accept Paypal transactions*. Don't have Paypal account? Create one for free, it's highly possible you will need one eventually anyway.

I accept payment in advance, after I confirm your order, for orders 40$+ you can pay half the price in advance and the rest upon completion - whatever you chose.

If for any reason I can't finish your commission, you will get a full refund.
If for any reason I miss the deadline we agreed upon by 1-3 days, you'll get refunded 20% of the price you've paid.

If you are from Czech or Slovak Republic, we can agree otherwise.

Shipping time varies from 3-5 working days (Europe Union) to 5-10 working days for the rest of the world. Package will be dispatched as a registered mail and you will receive a tracking number to be able to check your package status over the internet (please note that not every country provides this service properly).

IN HOW LONG WILL I HAVE MY PORTRAIT DONE?

The soonest I can start working on your portrait is after I receive the references and the payment. Standard time I take to finish from this moment is 2 weeks - it depends on my current situation, how much work I have, sometimes I finish sooner.

HOW TO ORDER

Look around, find out what you're looking for & note or email me (janebeata.2012@gmail.com) - subject "Commission" please.
Provide info such as:

- Your full name, shipping address, paypal account (that's usually your registration email)
- Portrait style / technique (examples are in the top of this journal, 1-5 groups)
- Size (small, medium, large or extra large - write also if you want the regular size or square)
- Coloring you'd prefer, you can list links to my already made portraits to make your vision clear to me
- Special requests if you have any (see "Special Requests" section above)
- Link or attach REFERENCE pictures (preferable MORE than 1, in higher resolution - it doesn't have to be a print size, but please avoid sending me 300 pix blurry/grained cell-phone pictures)

I will answer your note often within a day.

IMPORTANT:
I have only space to take up to a few commissions per month. When you note me, I'll reserve you a slot but in general people that have already paid take priority.

SPECIAL OFFER

Taking up on my special offer, you won't receive the original painting, only digital print, but you get to pick coloring and style (see 5 styles in the top of this journal). I will work traditionally, but on a small format to push the budget down.

STATEMENT

! Portraits are made for personal purposes, not for commercial use (such as CD/book covers, product design etc), unless otherwise stated / written permission given. Even after purchasing original of my work, you are not allowed to redistribute it, change my signature, sell it as a print etc. If you want a commission of another type, note me with details.

! I reserve the right to display my work in my online portfolio/gallery/fan pages. If you don't wish the portrait you are ordering to be displayed, please notify me of this request ahead of time.

! I reserve the right to decline a commission for any reason. If I accept your commission request and you are not satisfied with the final result, I will keep on working until you are.  Believe me, nobody wants an unhappy customer. Yet, keep in mind that commissioning me doesn't make me your slave

! Before you order a commission from me, take my personal style into consideration. It might seem obvious, but the finished portrait will be most likely painted in a similar spirit than those I've displayed.

! Keep in mind that different monitors can present coloring slightly differently and that an original painting always feels a little different than a digital file.

! Portraits can be a very original and pleasant present for family and friends, a memory that remains. Take an advice upon how to take care of  your artwork, have it properly framed (behind glass is the best) and avoid displaying it on places with direct sunlight.

! Final price you are paying for a work from me isn't by far a payment for my time. It also includes material, transaction fees, handling & packaging, original idea, etc. Portraying people is a very personal thing for me and I put a lot of thought, time and effort into each piece. By commissioning me or buying any of my original works, you are supporting my further development as an artist, which I am very thankful for.
