How to suggest a Daily DeviationHello!
According to one of our polls at #Traditionalists, there are many people who don't know how to suggest a Daily Deviation - too many, really. In this article you'll learn all about suggesting DDs: it'll be focused on Traditional Art category, but the general rules are the same for all the categories on dA.
Getting started
So you've just encountered an outstanding work - or had one for ages in your favourites - and you'd like it so much to be seen by everyone on dA. Before you suggest anything, you need to check if its author had a DD within past 6 months, as one deviant can have only 1 DD per 180 days. How? Add "dds" to their profile address, so:
username.deviantart.com would turn into username.deviantart.com/dds
You may also reach that page by clicking "browse" in deviant's gallery (top left, between "feat

Education and inspirations
He was born on the 16th of August 1876 (it was Wednesday) in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Before he became a student of the great Ilya Repin, he studied at the Art School of Anton Ažbe in Munich in 1898, so you can see that he gathered quite a good art education.

1. What your favorite drawing tools?
I work in a variety of tools - markers, watercolor, ink, pastels, gouache, graphite - though I enjoy mostly markers and watercolors.
My favorite drawing tools are Letraset products (Tria and Pro markers - http://www.letraset.com) and I like Italian watercolors like Maimeri (http://www.maimeri.it/cgidev2P/SIT015.PGM?VARIA=EN). And regarding to colored inks, I only use the ones by Winsor and Newton (http://www.winsornewton.com/).
Overseas materials - I mean, not European - are usually quite expensive, without mentioning customs fees if you purchase them online! - and I don't like to much buying expensive art tools or paper! They don't give me any chance to experiment/test new styles or techniques since

Dray'Lor is finished!!!!I've done it!!!!! I've drawn my first dragon since god knows when!!!! My watchers, I've got a dragon!!! And he can control all elements, yet he's still a rookie in combat (see picture for quote).

Update #3I'm almost caught up with all my old drawings! I just have one more collage to put together, then I'll start working on putting up poems and stories I've written. I will put up another update as soon as I'm done with this one collage, because this one is trickery then any of the others have been, so it might be a while.

Second DD, Feature, Interview

I've been pleasantly surprised to find my watercolor deviation "Violet" amongst today's Daily Deviations. It is my second, after "Watercolor eye study" featured in May. I am very grateful for your support, all your faves, messages and comments (those especially are quite valuable these days). Especially I thank to `SRaffa, who featured my artworks and is also one of the most inspiring people here on DeviantArt :heart:



I also want to thank people who make wonderful digital magazine Templum, I am happy to have been picked and featured amongst other talented people as part of their 4th issue. You can read the whole issue HERE (my artworks on pages 105-109) :)

Není vůbec za co. I já mockrát děkuji, je to pro mě nesmírná pocta. Nejprve jsem ten článek rychle prolétla a pak si ho pozorně přečetla, když jsem měla čas. Je naprosto úžasný, to bude tím, že je o úžasné osobě! Bylo milé dozvědět se o tobě něco víc!
