I can't decide so I'll describe what I like and dislike. Upper one: The composition is a bit more interesting, the eyes are more live. Bottom one: Colours are better, the composition is also good. The only thing I don't like is the shoulder.. it looks somehow awkward. The whole body in the upper painting looks perfect.
i think the first one gives importance more to the butterflies whereas the second one gives more importance to the girl's portrait and I notice you named it 'Lady with a butterfly' so the point i'm trying to make is that you should choose after your intention : the girl or the butterflies and i'd like to say too that the second one reflects more beauty ,the girl is more beautiful, with color tones and the little shape changes you did so it's more likely to be liked by everyone's eyes, and the first girl is pretty too , simple but more Complete and she kinda looks like a girl with butterflies not just a girl to whom a butterfly happens to pass by her hair
These are two different artworks, aren't they? I like this one () the most because the colors in her hair are more "defined", the slimmer face makes her look more beautiful, the eyes are bigger yet give her a look of maturity and the dark/black shade on her hair, next to her mouth, makes her face and the blue paint stand out.
i personally prefer the close-up one. i think it shows better detail compared to the first painting. in addition to that, the colors also seem to be more intense i.e. on the lips , the hair, the eyes...
In photography, with the human face, close ups are often more powerful. Feels like it's true in trad too. The eyes are so much more intense in that one. The tones in her face as well feel more rich and vibrant. Those lips are amazing too.
